ZL1 VS Z51, GS, and Z06 Vettes
Just a quick comparison I did between the ZL1 and the different Corvettes.
Z51 - 0-60 3.9 QM 12.2 Z06 - 0-60 2.95 QM 10.95 GS - 0-60 3.6 QM 11.8 ZL1 - 0-60 3.5 QM 11.4 The Z06 and ZL1 are auto transmissions and the Z51 Package and GS are manuals. Factor in the pricing and you can see what a performance bargain the ZL1 really is. Plus I think it's the more livable vehicle out of all of them. What's going to be interesting is how the ZL1 responds to minor mods like a Rotofab CAI or exhaust.

In the last gen you could get a no tune CAI and headers, some would get a CEL some wouldn't. Seems if you went beyond a CAI, headers etc. You need a tune.

I'd probably just do the Rotofab CAI and call it a day. The ZL1 is already fast enough.

I am interested to see what the ZL1 will do, because I have a feeling with the right tires it is faster than the GTR in the Quarter Mile by a good margin. |

ZL1 better be in the 10's at over 128mph or it will get laughed at while on a drag strip.

It would be hard to laugh at a 60k car with the current numbers such as the ZL1 has already posted 11.4 QM at 127 mph. Can we name another new car faster for the same money non-modified? The Hellcat has 57 HP on it and I bet this ZL1 will walk away from it.

The Hellcat weighs considerably more than the ZL1, around 4500 lbs if I'm not mistaken.
