yup, now tell me if any of the three (two?) ZL1's in the video sound anything like that ZL1 under the tent, with those horrible acoustics and a crappy microphone.

ZL1 for the win....the 350 sounds unique but it's not my cup of tea.

I'll be doing with my ZL1 what I've done with my SS anyway, so it doesn't matter--install long-tube headers, remove cats, remove mufflers, install straight pipes, cruise past the haters with a huge smile on my face. XD

I didn't buy my SS over a Stang for the sound only. The Alpha platform and Vette hardware were the main selling points. It's a better driver comparing similarly equipped rivals. Frankly, the Gen 6s are moving out of the traditional muscle car segment and into world class sports car territory.

Great Video. A much better comparison than the original post video of the ZL1 at idle and a few revs. Sounds almost NASCAR!

To me, the GT350 has a European exhaust note. They both sound good but quite different. My preference is the Camaro.

You asked for my opinion....

The GT350 had a better sound, the ZL1 sounded like a lot of sheet metal rattling.

I do notice as time goes on, the "muscle cars" of today are sounding more European, and don't really have that GREAT GROWL from back in the day, which is probably why more exhaust swaps tend to occur...disappointing.

GT350 sounds better to my ears. The Zl1 sounds awesome as well, but the uniqe sound of the 350 IMO to me makes it sound better.

Yeah, it seems raspy exhausts are the norm these days and I hate that!

If the ZL1 got close to the sound of the 70 Formula 400 it's a slam dunk win for Chevy

Truth is, both were recorded on crap equipment and the ford just sounds little better than wind noise thru a crap mic

I'll reserve judgement for IRL audio

Both sound great but lets be real you dont think mustang when you hear the gt350. Ive always been a gm guy bit ive always thought a 5.0 with flowmasters was one of the best sounding cars on the road. Hell call me crazy but my favorite sounding mod motor is the old 2v.
