Muscle car or sports car poll

I keep seeing people say the camaro is a sports car. I alway thought it was a muscle car. It does handle pretty good but not as great as a Corvette.
Muscle car- Heavy, hi powered, Camaro, Chevelle, Nova
sports car- light hi powered and handles great. Corvette and hi end european cars
thats what I always thought

Full 1LE suspension, with BMR adjustable sway bars and links, GM aluminum cradle bushings, Hurst shifter with lighter reverse spring, TWM shifter knob, Tick level 1 transmission. I should have bought a ZL1

I think 2 seaters are sport cars? Miata, Z4, S2000 are also sports cars.

Pony car. This encompasses V6s and V8s. It's what the F-body has always been. They were created to compete with the Mustang, and that car created the class.

The Chevelle is the only muscle car in that group. On top of that, the Nova is hardly a heavy car. It's a compact.

It's got to be a sports car, Super Sport.

G.M. would never put that badge on anything else like a truck, SUV, Crossover, 4 door family car etc.

I see my Camaro as a combination of all the best. It's sporty(tech design & aerodynamic) it has SS high performance upgrades(engine and handling) looks like a pony car(small 2 door compact syle) and has a muscle car appeal(american V8 retro). Call it whatever you want.
