What's even more embarrassing, is the Zl1 is only .5 seconds faster than a n/a 5.0 GT 0-60.

Interesting that they skipped on the GT500. Tesla is doing some awesome stuff. Peak torque at 0 rpm and above allows you to take some crazy approaches to gearing. I really want Tesla to make a supercar. I would probably buy it if they can continue their streak of awesome looking cars and give it supercar performance.

yup...

if these get cheaper, and Tesla installs their battery swap stations as planned.......

everyone will have one........ and I mean EVERYONE!

400 HP, instant torque, zero emissions, zero gasoline, .........

Plus...... My workplace has agreed to let employees charge their electric cars on company power. They will be installing a huge solar panel grid to help do so.

GM had better get in the game quick.

Modern electric car technology is interesting but it's lacking an important factor....the glorious V8 soundtrack!

I saw my first Tesla S "in hte flesh" a few weeks ago, and the display showed a 125+ miles range on "half full "batteries", and the lovely looking sales lady mentioned there is a "quick charge function".

So I'm guessing they made some improvements already.

I think what I like best about the idea of electric performance cars is that they are not subject to losing performance as the altitude increases.

A Tesla S will run the same 0-60, the same 1/4 mile, or any other acceleration metric at sea level and any elevation above that.

NASCAR would look stupid. And wouldn't smell the same at the track. All that high octane fuel...mmmmmmmmm.

I can't see having one. Not at this point. Let me just grow old with my V8.... lol
