Different cars, for sure, but could you give your opinion regarding the acceleration and handling differences between the Z and the SS?

Thanks.

Old in years only!

Managed to accumulate over 67 years on this planet (some how)! I won't go in to all my cars, but here's the last three:
2004 Mustang GT convertible, 2015 Chevy SS very bad***, and currently the 2017 Camaro SS 6 speed manual. It brings a smile to my face every time I walk out the door and see it sitting there. Rock on.

62 and love my 16 2SS. It was my retirement gift to myself at 61 . When first married had new 81 RX-7 and wife had 81 Camaro . Then company cars and family mini vans or SUV till '16. So excited to have a fun car to drive again. Wanting ZL1 now after seeing one at car show last week.

The Camaro and the people that own Camaros, help keep me in a young frame of mind.
I've said for many years, "I understand that I have to grow older, just don't make me grow up."

We just did the three big Camaro shows, Nationals, Superfest and Camarofest in a four week period. There isn't another vehicle made that has the love of car and comradery of people that the Camaro has. Our 45th Anniversary changed our lives and this new 6th gen continues the transformation. If you haven't gotten together with your Camaro brethren you are missing out on some special times. Get out to the local car shows, cruise-ins and cars and coffee meet ups to see what I'm talking about. We love you people and can't wait to see you all again.

Oh yeah, we were talking about ages weren't we. Well, I will be 75 in August and I ran two HPDE track days, Watkins Glen and NCM Motorsports Park, plus all the quarter mile runs I wanted so far this summer and I'm ready for more.

All I need to keep me young are my wife and my Camaro.

Golden amigo, simply golden...thanks for sharing & appreciate the candor / enthusiasm. Hope I still have it at 75 with my late start into all this being 47 with my first Camaro. Think I came out of the gates well however.

Just imagine what the body style & power plant that will be used in 28 years...I reckon the trade in of this 50yr ZL1 will be interesting!!

Im staring at 52 this year. Grew up watching Dukes of Hazard and lusting after my older bro-in-law's bright red "72 Plymouth Satellite. First car was a '69 Oldsmobile with a 454 big block. It was a bit rusty, a little beat up and ran kinda rough. I knew nothing about cars, so the bro-in-law took me to the parts store and taught me how to tune it up. I will never forget stomping on the gas and just sitting there as the tires melted under the power of that engine. Went through a truck phase (still love trucks actually) before getting a bright yellow '81 Pontiac Firebird. Got an '88 Mustang after that and than the kids came. Minivans, SUVs, and quad cab pick-ups came next before getting '09 Cadillac CTS with 3.6L DI. Loved the styling of the CTS, but really loved the power of that car. Gave me the bug to get back into something sporty, so this year I purchased the 2016 Camaro V6. Absolutely love this car! With houses, kids, college, etc., I don't have the wallet for the SS just yet, but maybe a retirement present in 8 years. :o)

454: big block for sure. That's 7.4 liters. My dad had a '72 Buick with one of those. 8 mpg and you would feel the heat standing 2 feet away from the hood. It's pretty neat to be in the golden age of that technology.

Other cars not really worth mentioning. Never really owned a muscle car. Only always dreamed of owning one, but was beginning to think the dream would never really come to fruition...
I just turned 53 this month, and finally bought my very first muscle car - A Hot Red 2017 SS 1LE!! And I still can't believe how great this car is!!

59 and have owned 5 Camaros over the years starting in 1982! I will have to say though that my '16 SS is definitely the best one of the five so far!

I'm 72 and own a 17 SS 6M, dark gray black stripe. I find that many younger folks can't afford a $40,000+ car, so lots of us older folks have a bank account big enough and a credit score over 700 so qualify easily. I see lots of older folks driving Camaros and Corvettes, more than younger. Maybe younger are into turbo 4bangers and not big growling V8's. I've always been a hot rodder, even before I had a drivers license. I've owned so many hot cars, I just wish I still owned a few, like my 67 Corvette 427/435, or my 62 Corvette 327/340. Also wonder what my 61 SS 409/409, 4 speed would be worth today? Always a hot rodder no matter what age you are. Just got back from the Sonoma Nationals watching the big dragsters and funny cars run sub 4's and over 335. Hope to be burried with a nice Holly double pumper next to me. Also, not afraid to put my 455hp through its paces, even have scarred a few folks who weren't quite ready for it. Motor on folks....
