I have no idea... they actually use another shop around here. I've saw a wheel with chuncks taken out of it come back just like new.

Just throwing it out there if you wanted to give them a call and find out who they farm this stuff out too. They handle lots' of high end vettes and show cars.

I am paying $125 for one wheel repair. The wheel will be repaired and painted then baked to cure the finish. They say a 5 hour job which mostly is the drying process.

Is this a place in houston? That sounds like a decent price, vs 350$...

I am in south Florida which is not a cheap area. I got a $100 quote from a place that does work for BMW and Mercedes but they are out of a trailer and don't do a proper paint job, entire job in 1 hour. The other shop I went to (my car is there now) charges $125-$150 and they bake the paint at 225 degrees to cure it and paint the entire wheel. It takes 5 hours but most is the painting/baking process. They do work with the local Chevrolet dealership.

I can't believe anyone would ask for more than $150 for something like this. This is normal repair prices from everything I have seen online, even on the Lotus forums.

Try asking a few dealership body shops who they use, it might help find someone affordable. For $350 I would buy a new one.

Yeah agreed , i called a few places and got quoted 95$ the cheapest, but the guy said the paint wont match up close, but will look good at a distance , No thanks lol, So other places were 125 - 175$ i might go with the one in between that @ AWR or RICHEYS. They sound like they know what they are doing. Thanks for the help guys

Curb rashed both of the back wheels. One worse than yours, not deeper just went a little further around the wheel, and the other about the same.

First quote was from a company called AWRS(Alloy Wheel Repair Specialist). It's a franchise type deal. You can look and see if you have one in your area. My additional concern was the lack of paint coverage on the wheel from the factory. So we talked about that. He was going to remove the tires, repair the two wheels, powder coat all four wheels in a similar color and matte finish, re-mount and balance for $600. And I liked the fact that it would be powder coated.

The second place I talked to was local. It was a tire place that was family owned and operated and has a good reputation with our local car group. It's also a place that sells those overpriced donk wheels. The point to that is they know how to take care of wheels without damaging them. They were going to repair both wheels, paint all four with a matching paint(or whatever I pick) and remount and balance the tires for $800. I really liked these guys. Talked to the manager and the guy that would be doing the work. The manager guaranteed I'd be happy. So I need tires, when I go get them I'm going to get these guys to order me a set and do the wheel work at the same time, might save $50 in not paying extra to mount and balance and then mount and balance again when I get tires.
Shout out for AWRS... used the one in Pittsburgh & they do excellent work, very affordable.
