I could only find a parts diagram. I believe it is the same as on the ZL1. The cooler itself is part #1 in diagram. As with the ZL1, the 1LE transmission features a standard liquid-to-liquid cooling system for track usage - as stated in the sticky under the heading - TREMEC® 6-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION

Any 1LE owners out there want to post some pictures of their transmission cooler?

While we're at it, any ZL1 owners want to post a pic of their rear differential cooler?

Would love to see what these look like. Wonder if they can be retrofitted to an SS.

Yeah that would be great. I think I'm going to need an aftermarket trans cooler for towing. Probably a diff cooler to be safer too.

SS does not have trans cooler. 1LE and ZL1 only. Oil cooler is the same

Yeah the SS manual and automatic cars have a transmission cooler in the factory radiator. Oil water coolers are very efficient but when that will not do we offer a auxiliary cooler. Our cooler knocks trans temps down a good 30-40 degrees pretty easy. Absolutely required with an aftermarket torque converter.

Contraire mon frere. A cooler can be anything that will dissipate heat away from the item you are trying to cool. The ordinary SS does have a transmission cooler as Alvin below states. When I was talking of a transmission cooler in the other thread you and I were on, I am talking about something like what Alvin is selling. It doesn't have to be that design for there are others like one row, two row coolers (you can even strap fans to them).

Off topic--you can respond in a new thread if you'd like, but got any better pics of that brake ducting?
