I am just amazed at some of the designs GM is coming out with.........this vette ROCKS...........to hear some of the complaints from the vette boys is a joke......that should tell you everything...........how else would you react when your pride and joy was just rendered obselete..........I should have known that GM was going full throttle on the vette...........but I just couldnt see it...........so many years of lackluster styling and then KAPOW...........to see big Ed when he was introducing the car was priceless..........he almost broke out with a giddy laughter......it was hard to see at first because the vid presented in a head on under very bright lights........once I saw her under different lighting I knew they had something special...........WOW WOW WOW.......TO ALL THE OTHER CAR COMPANIES , ESPECIALLY TOYOTA, take that up the wazoo...............dream on

The 14 vet is sweet but then so is the ZL1, Just imagine how the conversation will go down the road whenever the 6th Generation Camaro's come out
Oh by the way at least your keeping it all in the family ! Drive On !!!!!

Actually the C6 only had 400hp when announced, the LS2 was used until 2008 when it was replaced by the LS3 which had 430hp.
Not to mention the LT1 has a much better power band and torque curve, it has the same as the 7.0L LS7 from 1,000-4,000rpm.

I wouldn't do it if the z is doing its job. If you have the cash, then try to swing both. The vette is going to be around awhile, but IMO I'm not that sure how long the z will be around as a model. Time will tell.

ZL1 is staying, although the "Stingray" is a great improvement to Corvette. I'll bet last years models are going to take a serious dive on the lot. Expect some really low pricing on left over inventory.

Would any of you take a current 2013 Grand Sport for 20k off sticker over a New ZL1 at MSRP?

^No, unless I was in the market for one. With that said, I wouldn't take a zl1 at msrp either.

Sorry for the interruption and plug, but thought this might be a relevant interjection.
If you haven't already seen, we have launched a sister site Corvette7.com Please have a look when you get a chance and hopefully you'll find it a useful resource for anything C7 related.

I wonder hoe many other gen Corvettes will suddenly be sporting this Stingray emblem?

Eh. No. I liked the GS (drove both), but the ZL1 to me is more fun. Now the new stingray? That'd be hard.
