Hood is going down too deep

Ok, so I just removed the radiator shield and put it back on and not this happened, why?!?! And how can I fix this?

There's an adjustment for that...but I don't remember the details. It was discussed in a thread a couple months ago. Anyone out there with a better memory than mine that can provide the details or a link to the thread?

You can adjust the bump stops (black plastic things you turn) or the hex screw that hold the radiator shroud in place. Tightening them all the way raises the bumper up, loosening them lowers it.

If adjusting the rubber stops doesnt work, or the hex screws then raise the hood latch up, you have about 1" of play in the latch and that will raise it up. I just had to deal with this on my new hood.

did you forget to put in the cover that goes over the hood latch? Forgot what it's called

I took that off one day to wire some lights and forgot to put it back on and my hood sunk exactly like that

There is two Torx screws near the latch that adjust the bumper cover if that helps.

Hey sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this is the main reason Chevy is buying back my Camaro. My bumper/hood has the exact same issue, the hood is flush with the fenders, but not flush where the point of the hood its the bumper.

The issue is that the front bumper was not correctly installed, and it takes a lot of removing and adjusting to get it right. It will of course be covered by warranty, however, in my case the car was damaged before sale and the accident was not disclosed to me. My salesman and my district specialist have both been "let go" over this issue, and its been a month and I'm still waiting on a resolution. It is highly unlikely this happened in the factory, so just make sure you ask all the right questions when you go to the dealer.

Sorry! There are really two solutions.
The first, and easiest way, is to adjust the hood latch inside the bumper to sit up a quarter-inch higher. The second, and much more "involved" is to remove the bumper and re install it correctly. Both of these solutions can be done in a day no problem, and will certainly be covered by your bumper to bumper warranty.
The real issue is that you don't know why or how the bumper ended up that way because it is highly unlikely that it happened at the factory. I would personally suggest getting to the bottom of it, and if you find that there was a repair request an extended warranty (or if you're crazy about your baby like I am demand a new car). Either way I know exactly what you're going through, I had a lot of other issues with my car as well as you can see on my thread.
