Best exhaust set up with headers?

As some of you may recall I made a recent post about installing long tubes with a completely straight piped system and how it came out incredibly and obnoxiously loud. Well, I've now installed hi flow cats along with a magnaflow tru x-pipe and honestly now it's too quiet!!! I really don't mean to complain but i just want this to come out how I want it! What's everybody's recommendation as far as having a nice throaty muscle car roar with a loud but comfortable sound level? I'm thinking of just trying it without the x-pipe

My current set up:

SW long tubes
SW hi flow cats
Magnaflow resonated x-pipe (PN 11386)
K&N CAI

Thank you guys so much!

Wait until you get some heat through the X-Pipe. It will break in.

Based on my friends cars from the shop I go to as well as my car, I would say Borla Atak and Corsa Extreme are by far the loudest. My car is very loud. Consider going catless?

A good performing exhaust system isn't necessarily end of the world loud. If that's what you're after, then run some 18" header extensions with turndowns and annoy everyone within a 1/4 mile radius. If you want one that will actually benefit you, keep what you have. You're not going to get much better than that, unless you are one of the guys that likes how the old Chevy trucks with glasspacks and 2" pipes straight back sound. If so, then there's no hope for you............LOL.

I have Borla S-Type with HF cats and LT Headers and it gives me that Deep loud growl.....if you like a more extreme higher pitched growl go with the Borla Atak. Just my two cents.

Oh no no no that's what I just came from. Before I put the cats and x pipe on I DID annoy everybody within a 1/4 radius. I just wanna get back to how it was before I got my LT's put on it was just a muffler and resonator delete with a CAI and that was perfect

For daily use, loud enough to sound amazing, quiet enough to keep the neighbors happy, no beating the OEM NPP.....IMHO, of course

ARH 1 7/8 LT’s to ARH cats to ARH X-pipe to NPP. Wide Open via the fuse pull.

I'll have to admit that the oem NPP option does sound pretty damn good in its own right. Camaro and Vette alike. Wish more aftermarket manufacturers would get on that bandwagon.

I might be interested if it meant it would fix my dilemma but how exactly would it make it louder? Also, my car didn't come with NPP from the factory so idk if that changes anything
