total sacrilege?
so i am not a fan of trying to make a car something its not. ie. slapping ss badges on the v6 cars. but for some reason i love the stripe kit on the 45th cars. would it be that bad to put them on a silver '12 car?

If it doesn't say "45th anniversary" or something like that, I'd do it.
Edit: just saw it says "45". Maybe you could tell people it means something else, like you got the stripes for your 45th bday! I'm kidding ... But I'm guessing the silver stripes on a silver camaro won't look great though ... |

Well 2012 was the 45th anniversary year in general. Aftermarket companies offer the 45th stripe kits with custom lettering in place of 45th and some offer without lettering all together.
