Im still making payments and have and agp tt kit on the way. I dont think its a big deal as long as you understand what your getting yourself into. You may be making a payment on a garage ornament.

I did a cam, headers, full exhaust, vararam and a tune a week after I bought my car a month later I put 4:11 gear in it, a year later I ordered the Whipple and swapped to a truetrac and 3:70 gears. I still have a year left to pay and have 140k miles on it

Guilty. Car was new with only a couple thousand miles. Warranty may be your only concern. If you can't afford to fix it on your own dime then wait.

I did. If you get it done right then you don't have to worry about anything breaking anytime soon.

I did as well... And I have to agree with someone that posted earlier, if you can't afford to make payments and repairs, wait until it is fully paid for, or you end up with a garage/shop queen.

For what it's worth, I'm on engine 4, turbos 7 & 8, exhaust manifolds 5 & 6, clutch #4, transmission #3, etc...

The lesson here is decide what and how far you want to go early on...

If you just want a quick daily, do a bolt on kit from any of a number of manufacturers. If you want to race, decide the style of racing and talk to builder tuners and make a plan. Determine a budget, double that and add a little bit more in...

Having mentioned this, mine has been a five year progressive project, and yes it's addictive..

If you can turn, you ain't going fast enough...

If you can't do that, then to be honest, you should not be modding your car.

Did you ever put headers on? You started a thread before saying you were worried about your parents being upset at voiding your warranty. Just do it. Only you know if you have the cash to fix it if it breaks. Like somebody else said, gotta pay to play.

My 15 had twins on it at 1300 miles. Now it has 3700 miles and not a stock driveline piece left. M6 to 4l80 swap as well. Still owe 22k on it. Which is less then what I have in the mods.

Same lol, Probably would of have it paid off the car if I used all the money I spent on mods towards the amount owed. But I wouldn't have a boosted 1k rwhp camaro tho
