First Accident got $1600. What should I do

Hey so driving home today some lady tried to switch lanes without looking at her blind spot, while i was two busy checking my speed odometer after seeing a cop shooting laser as i passed by so got a slight ding to the side. The other person's Insurance gave me 1600. He only put 300$ for the fender and the rest is labor. How should i play this out.

Hard to see from that angle - is the bumper gouged or scraped?

Sorry about the damage. Know that makes for a lousy Friday.

If you look below the sidemarker that crease where it transfers from curved to straight is scrapped down the side.

Yeah just finished my last final exam and was glad to be done now got to take care of this.

I'd say 200-400 for a body shop to pop the dent, and make it look like new. (Ie. Sand, repaint, clear coat
)

The answer to that depends on your insurance company.

So should I go the fix route or new fender route?

That bad of a dent on a edge isn't fixable, it will have to be replaced.

A new fender and possible side marker, can't tell what kind of damage the lens took. The fascia looks like it can just be sanded down and repainted.

I'd go whichever is cheaper, but I would pay out of pocket. So much eaiser then trying to make a claim. Save that for someing more costly. Like a wreck, or hail damage.

Someone threw a rock at my rear quarter panel, costed me 200 to get it fixed. Than a few months later it hailed big time. 6k in damage.

It wasn't my fault so considering the other person is honest about the incident i shouldn't pay out of pocket for anything.
