Here is a picture of my son's car after someone tried to make a turn right in front of him at a light - my son was doing 45 and it was like a head on.

Glad you guys are ok, and OP, it could have been much worse as you and your car could have gotten hauled off on a flatbed. Your baby will be fixed up better than she was before you know. I know the vehicle repair/hospital thing all too well.

One of my wrecks a couple of years ago. T-boned an Impala that turned in front of me while I was doing 50mph. Tore off my right thumb, snapped my index finger and generally turned my hand into a meat puppet. Have more, gorier pics from before the surgery but this one will do. The only wrecks I've had were on bikes, and almost always a cagers fault. For a while I felt like a wreck magnet. Ride a lot less now, and the impetus for me getting the Camaro in the first place. Wifey hates that I ride, and actually floated the idea while we were shopping for her Equinox, and test drove a loaner Camaro. She doesn't even care that I wash and wax the car all the time, I guess it's better doing that rather than riding and getting whacked lol.

How about OP just keeps his car on the road?

Ouch.. Like everyone else, glad you're okay! I'm sure seeing your car like that makes you sick. I think the others are right... If it's totaled, they'll give you the price of what it's worth, which may be better since you can get yourself a new one. Looks like a lot of damage, but then again, they can do wonders when fixing them up to look like new.

Bigcros, I'm glad you came out of it alright. I know that sick feeling seeing your baby all banged up, most of my wrecks have been of the two-wheeled kind and I'm glad that wasn't your case... they don't usually turn out with minimal injuries! You have our wishes at LSR Performance that you get happily back on your wheels in quick time!

Not sure if someone already said it but summer tires are NOT MADE FOR COLD WEATHER.

When I had the stock pirelli's on my car, any time it was cold or wet, traction on my SS sucked.
I now have all season tires and it is night and day difference when the road is wet or weather is cold.
