Automatic Door Locks

I read the manual and went step by step. I though I was programming it correctly (according to the manual) but still my doors won't lock after the last one is closed. I still have to press the lock button on the fob. On the menu it shows Delayed Door Locking YES. But it still doesn't work.
WTF?

Do you have the myLink touch screen? If so, it's easier to fix, if not, no idea.

They lock after you put it in "Drive", and unlock again when in "Park"!

I mean when I put it in park. I get out and close the door. The doors should lock on their own and the alarm should arm, but the doors never lock by themselves.

No, the automatic door locks only work like xnuyokr said. It only works when you move to drive. You have to lock the door via the lock button or using the key fob. They won't automatically lock when you exit the car.

Ooooohhh, I have mine set not to so I don't accidently get locked out. I will say that on my car I also have it set for both doors to unlock with one push of the key fob button..... but I still have to press it twice!

(Is it called the anti lockout feature or something like that regarding the menu setting to "lock on exit")?

Then why have the feature of delayed door lock? I guess it is one of the great GM mysteries.

I don't think there is a auto lock door on the camaro, you have to hit the lock button on the door or the fob.

I think your confused. delay door locking just makes the car wait a few seconds after your close the door for them to lock. you still have to press the unlock button.

And that is what I am saying, the doors do not lock by themselves after I close them. I shouldn't have to press any buttons to have the doors lock on their own with the delayed locking feature active. But even with that feature active, as it shows on the menu, the doors will not lock on their own.

Is this what you're referring to? "Delayed Door Locks"?
