Saying hello to other Camaros

I've been driving my Camaro for about 7 months now and have had one fellow Camaro driver wave at me. I guess for a lot of owners in NC, it's just a car. It does seem to get a lot of attention from non-Camaro drivers....go figure.

A few times, I stopped waving at cars that look stock unless they wave first.
Although there is one guy that drives a 45th around here that we always wave at each other. He's stock as far as I could tell. It seems if they have even the smallest mod they are the ones that wave. I feel bad a lot because some flash their lights at me before I notice them so by the time i realize what just went down they are past me before I flash mine back or wave.

I defiantly agree with that. I hardly see other 5th gen owners in my area who tend to really care about there car. Now I have been to Charlotte and that is one area where people love Camaros. I always wave or flash my lights, but tend to get ignored quite a bit.

Have to say Aubrey64 that following your build thread has definitely given me some inspiration for a few mods though!

I wave to everyone in a Camaro I see; some wave back, some don't, some think I'm crazy, but everyone I talk to loves the color.

I wave, and usually get one back from the guys. Women, not so much, although I'm sure if they were gearheads or really had a passion for the car, they would. A lot of people just buy a car because it "looks nice", and that's fine, but I consider my fellow Camaro owners as extended family.

I can't wait until I get mine next Spring so I can wave hello. My husband has a jeep and I think he purposely looks for other Jeeps so he can wave..lol

You must be around Fallbrook then. I must have seen you from time to time. What's your camaro look like?

Regarding acknowledging other Camaros... At first other's waved back all the time. Now it's seems less often.

As for women in Camaros... they don't even turn their head to look around (at least the one's I see).

Regarding flashing lights... I do not do this. If I see this I take it as a warning of an upcoming policeman or speed trap.
