How do you get rid of the Rice
Do all the v6's sound like rice? Even with aftermarket exhausts? Not so much while driving, but that rattle you here while in neutrel with a fast goose of the gas, it sounds awfully high pitched. Has anyone cured this?

i have heard MRT's and Flowmasters on the V6's and they sound pretty damn good. so good that i wonder why GM didnt do a better job on the exhaust note for the 6...

I have no idea what you are talking about and I have a V6. I know sometimes on higher rpm it will have a raspy tone if it's not setup right but no rattle that I know of especially on idle.

I have flowmasters, it sounds awesome while in gear driving, but when people wanna hear you rev it up, like while parked, and you 'fast rev it' its really sounds crappy. |

This is a older setup and video of mine on the dyno with magnaflow perforated x-pipe, and long tube headers with no cats, and flowmaster exhaust just like you. No rasp anywhere! It can be done.

sounds great, but that is simulating driving. Again, when I am driving, it sounds great, its when im in parked or neutrel, you know, showing what its got, fast revs up to about 3000 rpms, its too raspy, almost pingy.
Also, I dont want a cel, long tubes and no cats, not for me. I guess what I am asking, is there anything that might cure this with the setup I have now? Such as that x pipe you have, would that help? Or change out my flowmasters? I know its not the intake or the doug thorley shorties. Anyone???? |
