Winter Indoor Cover, which one?

Hey guys,

Has anyone bought a winter indoor cover for their ZL1? I am looking for feedback based on fit and protection from anyone who currently owns one.

I've used California Car Cover Dustop covers since my 1985 Trans Am, they do a great job at keeping the dust off, they're designed to fit the car. They're a little spendy, but I've hd very good luck with them.

Has anyone tried the 5th gen ZL1 logo from cover from GM? I have one from my '13 I'm hoping will fit. Guess I'll find out in about a week or so.

I saw someone posted a while back that the 5th Gen Zl1 cover does fit the 6th gen. I wish I kept that cover, but I sold it with the car. I ended up buying a new indoor cover. It’s the red one that fits all 6th gen Camaros. It’s is not ZL1 specific, but I really like it.

Thanks, hope so. Don't want to buy another one. Should've checked it out already but I don't need it til winter and I'm too lazy to unroll it and have to roll it back up, lol.

For anyone who has one from their 5th gen ZL1, the black GM indoor cover with the ZL1 logos fits perfect on a 6th gen. In fact, it fits better than it did on my 5th gen vert.
Looks like they got about a $50 price increase though.

Why cover it? If it's indoor storage? Not being a wise ass, just wondering. I feel like the covers scuff them up and can trap moisture. But I'm open 2 thoughts on why covering is better.

Mainly dust. I have a 2 car garage with a single 16' door. So also blowing snow, etc. when the door needs to be opened. You're right about scuffing if you use a $20 Budge cover from Wally World. The good ones are lined.

Boy, some of these covers are expensive! Hopefully, I can find a decent one for not a lot of cash, since mine lives in a heated garage, so shouldn't need as protective a cover as if it lived outdoors.

I went with the California Car Cover Custom Weave. A bit pricey but a extremely nice cover. Had them for a few of my other cars.
