Whipple only?

Hey my people. Seeing if anyone has done just a whipple and tune only, no cam or meth and wondering what numbers you got? Any other experience with whipple is welcome also but mostly looking to see if it actually took it to the 680 mark with no other mod.

Lots of people are interested in hearing information on Whipple-only swaps, there's not much/any info out there right now on Whipple on stock engines/no meth.

It is proven that when pulleyed, heads, cam, E85 and meth are added it can drop out 900+ RWHP.

Some of the CTSV 3 owners have done it, the gains are 25 to 30 hp without additional mods.
The whipple doesn't show much improvement until other supporting mods are installed, thats when it begins to shine.

Well that is certainly disappointing. I'm sure you can get a bit more with LTs but it still isn't worth the money if that is the case. Might as well just do pulleys and bolt-ons.

One thing I don't quite get with this. With a max psi of 16 lbs, they only gained 35 rwhp and lost 9 ft lbs. If factory boost is 9.2 lbs, I'm guessing that means the Whipple at factory boost levels would make less than the factory supercharger?? Am I missing something? If seems this blower only works if you're really cranking up the boost.

Yep that's exactly what it is. It's efficiency range is much higher than a stock engine setup.

Hopefully the 2650 bridges the gap between the Whipple and the stock blower for those that just want to do a blower swap and not open up the engine.

Magnuson has been promising a 2650 blower for the LT4. Be sick. They already have a 2300 setup for the Zo6.

Magnuson already has the 2300 that makes as much hp/torque as the Whipple. I'm at 669/635 and running 10.30's@135. Plenty of info in the forced induction area.
