Picked up a '14 2SS/RS
Well ladies and gents I figured I'd introduce myself, as I picked up a 2014 2SS/RS manual two days ago.... Already plasti dipped the emblems this morning... probably going to do that chrome eyebrow and the induction vents red tomorrow.

Very nice indeed.
Did you brush on the plasti-dip in place? Is that hard to do? |

I used the spray plastidip on my badges. I put painters tap around the chrome and then newspaper to protect against overspray. Even if you do get overspray on the car, plastdip comes off very easily since it's rubber and not paint. It will just peel right off. It was also very easy to do. Took me about 15 minutes to tape the badges off and then I did about 4 coats with 15 minutes in between.

I used the spray.. 3x coats of red 3x coats of glossifier, with 10-15mins between coats and then 30 minute rest before peeling. Just made a big tape square (sprayed over chrome) peeled off carefully and then peeled chrome area because of the indention between the yellow and chrome the peel came off perfect. about $16 dollars of stuff to do it. for the overspray I took rain-x bug and tar remover and sprayed and wiped right off with a micro fiber towel. then hit the car with maguires spray and wipe detailer.

Looks great! however I wanted my bowtie to match the SS badge (red inset in chrome) as I really like the minimal look that they have stock, and besides otherwise I would have just left the SS badge and that idea felt weird.
