At the pace I drive my SS, it'll be 70 years old when it hits 211,000!

Thanks for the replies. To answer a couple of the questions.
The car is absolutely stock. I like to keep them as they were designed. They seem to do very well if I don't go messing them. I rely on them for work. If I were using this car for fun, I would certainly have some fun with mods. As for the fluid used in the rear axle seals, I went OEM only. As for the maintenance. I use only a local high quality service center or a large, quality dealership that I have used since I bought it. The only chassis/drivetrain issues have been the right front wheel bearing and the rear axle seals. It is still very tight, clean and well appreciated by me. The only issue I ever complain about is the thickness or fragility of the paint, it sucks. |

Dang, I've owned about 30 cars in the last 40 years and I'm not sure I've put 350k miles total on them!

Talk about a coincidence…
Driving into work today I looked down at the OD, it clicked over 153,000 at that very moment. I thought to myself, I wonder how many folks have surpassed the 200K mark? Then I get to work, open up Camaro5 and see this post! I am glad to hear this… I do drive 100 miles a day and 95% is highway @ 70+. Should be good for at least another 50K J

That's a lot of cars! I had to think about it, I've owned only 8 personal cars and 3 company over the same period. The personal ones -might- have reached 200K, the company ones of course did. I like me Weekend Warriors in my old age.

That is a lot. I am 42 years old and I've only owned six cars since I was 16.

This is my first post. I picked up my 2010 RS/SS 6M 3 weeks ago, and, having been into German cars (traded in a CLK500), before I made the purchase I went online to see what to beware of when buying a used Camaro. I couldn't find any common flaws being discussed, which is usually not the case with German cars. My car had 52,000 on the clock, which I considered pretty low miles. Anyway, I will be driving this car as primary transportation, and I could not be happier. I find myself looking for reasons to go places. I'm just happy to have been able to buy a car that takes me back to my earlier automotive days, with a real V8, manual transmission, rear wheel drive, etc. Who would have guessed cars like this would ever be available again, considering where things automotive were going in the early 70's? I'm thrilled to look through the windshield and see the tops of my fenders and the cowl of the hood, with an engine underneath that I'll probably never be brave enough to push even close to it's limits. And what a bonus that the car is so well engineered and comfortable! I'll put at least 100k more miles on this car, and then I'll probably trade it in for another Camaro. Just love this car, in case you didn't figure that out! Camaro5 is a fantastic resource as I continue to learn more about my car.
