It's well documented that Camry has been outselling Accord because of the better lease options.

2016/17 posted LOWER sales than 2014/15

Long term trend
473k (2007) > 387k (2017) - Camry - this is called trending down
172k (2007) < 407k (2017) - RAV4 - this is called trending up

So yes, SUV sales are pushing midsize sedans lower.

Look at your own reference. That's just a typical seasonal increase. In fact, March 2014,15,16,17 all had higher monthly sales numbers than March 2018

People are looking for the most bang for the buck. If 2 competitors offer similiar vehicles consumers will chose the one with the best incentives. I find Honda has been guilty of being a bit ignorant of this in the past.

Brilliant , so Chevrolet is going after the Camry/Accord market with there new redesign.

So who is marketing to the past Camaro owners looking to upgrade?

(Hello - Mustang, and Challenger)

No Idea at this point! That is me , a past owner, lurking for new muscle, but meh with this new banana curve front end. Hood has good edges leading to more edges(hopes are up) yes homerun?? Nope! Foul ball for some reason the edges stop, go away and blend into a flat curved banana grill? What? With the so called "flow tie" sunk way down the grill on the flat banana.

Im just lost at trying to guess the direction.. I can only imagine how all the LE elite are turning over running for the hills with the introduction of a 2.0 to the wonderful elite group of superior suspension and vinyl sticker hoods. Cant wait to read those threads lol

I can help but think this "refresh" will further distance themselves in the sales world from the competition. The fan boys claimed victory before the first GM twin rolled off the lot against the Tacoma and look how that score ended up. But I am puzzled by who is on the other side of the field now, cause this thing is not going to win any prospective buyers against the other muscle, and may go the other direction fast..

I pray something else is coming, or aftermarket grills, etc..I'd hate to give up on the Camaro but, ugh, C'mon

The restyled Camry looks better than the Accord, but the Honda has been winning the head to heads in magazines. For small SUV’s the new CR-V looks better than the RAV4 which needs a redesign inside & out.

As for the Camaro, I see further dwindling sales as they make it uglier and more expensive. I could never buy a Rustang, so if Fiat can’t unload Dodge and they actually make a new Challenger that might be an option. Honestly, at higher price points the domestics aren’t a good buy. An AWD Audi or BMW are faster and have way better interiors. The M5 leaves a new ZL-1 in the dust in the 1/4, and fits 4 adults. It’s why I hope they make an AWD CTS-V, but again the interior looks like it belongs in a $40k Buick and it’s too small in the rear seat area.

I think Chevy needs to ditch the bunker look (high belt and low roofline) on the newer Camaro or hopefully the gen 7. It looked good on our Gen 5 but seems weird to me on the new styling somehow.

Anyone seen this video? Looks like a 2019 SS 1LE imo.

Didn't look too bad in white.
