If a stock car ran E85, would it run just like stock? E85 is $.90 cheaper here. You'd pay for this fairly quickly.
Your car will gulp E85 more quickly, so no savings and you should not run E85 without the kit/tune as advised by GM unoffically.

And once you get the kit you may drive in a way to feel the extra power more often. Fun almost always comes at a price.

Wow. Then I feel good about getting to 75% with one fillup and one 1/4 topoff. Of course I was on fumes when I pulled in for that first fill.

I see about 78% at the pump I go to here in Central FL. I did get to 82% on one fill there. Must have been a lucky day.

E85 can be cheaper to run depending on the cost of 93. In NC it was a no brainer at $1.55 to $1.70. It is about $.20 more expensive here but I just can't go back to 93.

Don't ever run E85 without a tune. You will run excessively lean at WOT.

So I buy this kit and if I wanted an EFI Tune, I would need to also purchase the HP Tuner suite for my 2017 ECM right? Since it's a manual, i wouldn't need to get the TCM add-on as well?

You would not need to worry about TCM support. If you have a friend with HP Tuners you could buy credits and use theirs. If you purchase a FF kit while it's on sale I am giving $50 coupon codes for a future purchase. You could use that to save some money.

I will get codes out to everyone tomorrow. Thank you for the patience!

The kit is on sale until the end of the month. If you order during the sale I will provide a coupon code for $50 towards another purchase. You could buy the tune for $400 minus $50. You will still need to purchase (or borrow) HP Tuners.

Why would anyone take their car to a reputable shop to have engine work done when they could do it themselves? I'll tell you why... because lowest cost rarely equates to best value and definitely does not equate to best support or quality.

I try to provide excellent pre and post sales support. I had one gentleman purchase a competing kit and he needed some help. The clowns that sold it wouldn't do anything to help him out. I made nothing off the sale but I tried to help him out anyways. Hopefully he becomes a future customer. I've overnighted lost fittings or replacement hoses no questions asked.

Support is why.

I just sent out the $50 off coupon codes to everyone that has ordered the Flex Fuel kit. If you did not receive an e-mail please PM me here and I will resend. Your code will remain valid until 05/31/18 and will be for one use only.

Thank you,
Tim

This may be a dumb question, but I was wanting to know about fuel types. I know the LT1 won't run on 87 octane, but has anyone tried mixing 106 or 110 octane with premium 93 octane? Was thinking about trying g it, but don't wanna mess anything up.

Tim,

I had several questions regarding the EFI flex fuel kit and EFI remote tune packages.

However, your inbox is full. Please let me know when you have space or provide a direct e-mail through PM. I had sent a contact form through the EFI site last week as well with no response. Possible TX2K18 had everyone a bit busy so no worries.

Thanks!
