Light weight 2012?
Talked to a GM tech the other day. He said in 2012 the camaro will go on a diet. Its supposed to be 1000lb lighter. He says GM has plans to lighten it to get better gas mileage and power to weight ratio. Its all geared to compete with a faster mustang. Has anyone heard the same?

1000lbs? No way lol. but heck just lower gearing would make a nice difference, but removing 150 to 300 lbs somehow would be icing on the cake.

the new alpha format I think its called should put it on a diet if it comes out,but 1000 lbs. They must be sending it to the honda civic plant for a extreme makover

Alpha is the platform that the Camaro is rumored to be moving too. |
