Should I Buy a 1LE
Been a while since I have posted
To make a long story short I traded my 2010 Silver Ice Camaro SS a little less then two years ago for a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Had to trade that in for a 2013 Nissan Maxima due to gas mileage. I have a deal in place for a 2014 1LE Camaro and I am trying to decide if I want to buy my 3rd car in the last few years. If "Yes"...What color should I get? Black/Ashton Grey or Silver Ice?

If gas is an issue and unless something has changed the 1le would not be ideal as a commuter car if mpg is a concern...and the stock tires don't last long and are pricey for replacements...that is something to consider...
Yet super fun to drive! And btw AGM =) |

I sold my 2011 autobahn gti which was great on gas mileage. I bought a new 14 1le in summit white and love the car. I drive mine to and back from work and usually in the weekend we use our Tahoe since we do things as a family. But I truly love the 1le. It's just a car you enjoy driving and starring at.

were you concerned with gas mileage when you had your camaro???
if not. then jump on it! for colors, if you want less maintenance then go for silver. always looks clean, ashen gray and black are very nice, but you'll be washing your car most of the time than spending time driving it.. |

Black, and agree if mileage was not a concern with the first Camaro, then you will be fine. There are many threads on this subject, but I have averaged 18.1 for the first year, and that is a combo of highway and city. This is not the right car if gas cost is a concern. If it's not, go get yourself one!

I love my Ashen, and it is dark but the color does hide dirt pretty well. Much easier to clean and maintain than a black car.

Good to hear as this is partially the reason I went with AGM instead of black. I was hoping it would hide dirt a bit better. Plus all the pics I've seen of AGM cars look amazing!

Oyy what a choice

Awesome car, best I've had. A delight everyday. It also does not get bad mileage if you drive it most of the time slowly. Big Catch, if you can. I do, until sometimes. As far as color, Black if taken care of is awesome, I have one, I'm a freak about keeping her clean and so for me a no brainer. Ashen gray gives some of black's benefits when shined up and a little, not much more forgiving when a little dirty. Silver is the easiest, also other colors, not only silver show off highlights. Like stripes or dark black matte finish highlights. Suggest you go to the various special threads on different colors to see what I mean. Summitt white shows off cosmetic mods well and I believe pops more than silver. Other issue is the tires. If you do winter driving with it(which I would not suggest) you will need different tires). If you can deal with all that, the car is incredible stock and modifies to be a beast. A lot of compliments will come your way. Jim
