For those of you that have the side corner box, how do you like it?

I see you found our new integrated kit. Same box as always, just using jbl now that kicker has become a sell-out to big box stores only. The great thing about the JBL gear is that it is actually better stuff for the same money as the kicker gear were using previously. That jbl amp is 500w rms, whereas the kicker amp in the old kit was 400w.

JBL was the shizzle back in the day. I think this is going on the mod list.

Steve-
Could you offer that with an option of JL Audio? Can you get JL Audio stuff?
Cheers

you're not worried about over-heating the amp in this set-up? I see there is a rectangular hole where the fins are, but that just doesn't seem to be enough?

I personally like the old Infinity set-up. My amp has never over heated with this set-up.

I suspect that is a D-class amp which is much cooler than an A or A/B amp.

Should run cool I'd say. The kickers never gave us any problems and most of their fins were completely behind the cover. I contemplated on different cover designs and thought that one looked best, having only the controls and fins exposed.

is that just the "sub" amp or is that the 5 channel replace for all?

and how much trunk does this actually take and number 3 can this be setup to be easily removed for trips when I need ALL of the trunk.

This particular amp is the 500w mono sub amp. The 5ch amp is too large to fit unfortunately. The nice thing about having only the sub amp in the box and not a 5ch is that if you do take it out, you still have the rest of your system intact. But yeah it is really easy to remove. Disconnect the power, ground, and rca cable and pull it out. The amp has an auto turn-on feature so you don't even need to connect a remote wire. These amps are really nice to work with since the controls are right on top and easy to see and extremely uncomplicated.

An amp swap using the xd400/4 and this kit for bass would be a lot better than any 5 channel system.
