Cool 2022 LT1 A10 into the 11s With drag pack and axleback

Hey guys! As planned I took the car back to the strip for some October air. Last time out it did 12.160@115.84 in 2850DA. Density altitude was 3k lower this time so I planned on knocking around .3 off and adding 3mph. So that’s exactly what it did. Car was roughly 75lbs lighter this time. Rear seats were out, in between 1/4-1/8 tank gas and the AWE track axle back is 11lbs lighter than the non NPP suitcase. To be honest, I thought it would do better but it is what it is.

Left lane
DA -295
60' 1.798
1/8 7.697 Mph 93.82
1/4 11.849 Mph 118.67

Hmmm…I’ve never been to Epping. How is the track prep? I went to Lebanon Valley on Friday and it was a slip and slide for everyone I talked to. Might be time to find a different track…

Hey Joe, your getting there, wow minus DA. Decent pass for sure. Did the car dead hook for you? Seems the car should 60 ft better, but that is just my opinion. I was at track Friday also (with the corvette) and met Joshinator, great guy. I wish Lebanon Valley had DA that low, I made a 3 oclock pass on Friday and the DA was probably close to 1000

Yeah they are heavy and that's one reason it took me so long to buy one. I wish I never sold my last F body.

The R/T doesn't matter though. I can sit there for a minute after green, but the time don't start until I move.

The car needs full boltons and a tune but I'm not ready to give up the warranty!

Thanks!

Well, I can't compare with any other tracks. I only been to epping but I can say I have never spun much just as long as I show up with good tires and do a burnout. First run of the night I felt a very slight slip on one tire so I let out, got right back in and still did a 12.0. Funny how that was the highest MPH of the night almost 119.
With the power you're making you won't be as lucky I am most of the time
Test and Tune on saturdays+sundays are the days you would want to go.

Hey Josh, was nice to meet you Friday . I did see some slipping and sliding also, especially the left lane. BTW DA is always lower at Epping and ya never get much of a head wind there due to the direction the track runs. Seems like there is always a head wind at Lebanon like Fridays 7-9 mph head wind. How did you do Friday? I believe you said you were doing some testing. Forgot to mention, back in the day it has been said Epping was a quicker track by a tenth or two compared to the valley.

No issues hooking except on first pass, one tire slipped just a little bit while going into 2nd or 3rd gear so I let out for a split second. Still did a 12.0.
I ran in -1500 there before. If I went in 2 weeks I could drop another .1
The 60' is not going any lower with this car. My burnouts and shallow staging were on point my friend. Car dead hooked. The car needs mods and a tune which I can't do unless I void the warranty. It's killing me actually because I need headers and I would like to start looking into stalls.

How did the vette do?

12mph NW wind last night. Not exactly blowing straight at me, but I could feel the car going to the right, especially with these Hoosiers pumped up!

I truly believe with a tune that also plays with some torque management your car should 60ft 1.70 flat.
The corvette running E30 (no tune required) a high flow air filter, on the factory all season tires and front sway bar links unhooked. This is a 490 hp without the NPP exhaust . The NPP cars are rated 5 more horse and 5 more torque. This is also a non Z51 car that has less rear gear. Here is the slip right lane.

I think it would too but the tune would kill the warranty so that’s pretty much it for this car until I mod.

That looks good to me Don. My 01 SS used to run that. But my car was raw and pissed off. Yours is like a graceful daily driver
Looks like you got it a tenth or so faster than the GM claim. Nice job 👍🏻

Do you do a burnout with those tires?

Thanks Joe, yeah I was happy with that pass. Real world that really is a solid 2 tenths and 2 mph quicker than it should be . Very hard to do burn outs with a mid engine and a DCT trans, but yes You have to spin the tires while it lurches forward, you cannot touch the brake pedal to hold it still. Good luck to you and I will be keeping in touch.

6th gen LT1's with the 10 speed auto trans I believe are close to 3650 curb weight which is full of fluids.

Hey Don, great to meet you too! I’ll have to get a closer look at the Vette sometime.

Lebanon was downright crappy on Friday. That left lane gave me a good scare a couple of times and I ended up either aborting my run or letting off at 1/8 mile. The headwind has been a factor there both times I went this year…gives you a bit of a floaty feeling at the top end of the track…not great when you’re doing 150 MPH…

Good info, thanks. Hopefully they do private rentals at Epping… much better way to go than test & tune. You can do some serious data logging, make a tune change, and get right back in line. The lines are usually shorter too.
