I made it back to the track and got a new pb! 9.28@153. Shift points were off since last time out so I datalogged and tried making some changes to improve the time with the same power in it. Boost controller has been targeting the same 10lbs of boost since Indy but it’s been creeping up into the 11-12 range. By the end of the day I got shift points where I wanted and it actually slowed down to 9.38@152. The biggest difference is in the front half. As others have suggested I think I need to leave the converter unlocked longer. Trying to lock in 2nd it slips the first half of the gear then gradually gets there by the end. Kind of weird it’s not commanding as high of pressure as it does in the higher gears. It unlocks for the 2-3 shift then slips trying to grab and eventually does then stays holding the rest of the way down. Think im going to try unlocked for longer next time out. I also need to get it to build some boost on the line. Leaving off 2 step at 2500 rpm and 101kpa right now.

Congrats! Getting that 60’ time down is paying off.

Man your front half is killing you, back half is hauling the mail. Congrats on a really great pass. You'll get if figured out and 5 second 1/8 mile is coming soon, then hopefully some really low 9 second passes. Maybe 8s?

I feel like I have enough power in it to go 9.0/8.9 and yes I'm trying to get everything working together better before just throwing more power at it.

Couple months ago on a front side no prep, 2nd gear launch and leaving on boost it was on the verge of shaking the tires, definitely vibrations going through the drivetrain and I let out of it. I have hendrix offset diff bushings and solid cradle bushings sitting in the freezer but I haven't gotten them installed yet. Hopefully that will happen sooner than later, and next time out I'll try to get after it harder out of the hole.

This trip to the track I was trying to get shifting and converter lock up working how I wanted and didn't want to mess with too many things at once, like messing with launch rpm. It'll get there eventually!

Solid run! I would probably bump the converter lock to 4th gear. The slipping is no bueno at your power level. Will kill the trans quick.

That’s what I was thinking, 4th or even 5th depending on which is quicker. The converter definitely coupled more before lock up this past time out compared to Indy. So it will carry the gears longer now.

Wish I could upload video here but the forum platform isn’t great for it.

You are so close to a 9 second pass, when it happens your going to be one of the elite Camaro's that's done this. It's not easy putting it all together in one pass, I think your going to do it real soon. Go get ya some 8s.

Thanks for that. I keep looking at the fast list and what other people are doing, basically thinking I’m slow lol. Low 9’s closing in on 8’s definitely isn’t a bad place to be!

Here is a quick video of this last Sundays tnt. My fiancée ran the F150 and had a ball while I ran the Camaro. She drives the Camaro (took it to work yesterday) but is starting to itch to put it down the track. Maybe this year but probably next year, at which point I’m probably going to have to really start looking into building something faster for her lol.
