I nailed a piece of carpet to the wall where the door opens. Protects the wall from beeing scratched

Love this feature, I have it in my truck and turned it off but in this car it's a must. It makes it so easy to get in and not hit your head. Moves the seat all the way down and all the way back when you turn off the car and then back to your original position when you get back in.

I have the auto exit and auto memory seat functions enabled as well. Nice feature for tall peeps. Does make getting in and out easier.

I'm trying to figure out why GM made this more complicated in the Camaro. My SS Sedan had just one setting to toggle. It's not as if you're going to crush anyone in the non-existent back seats...

I'm still fine tuning mine, but I'm trying to find the best seat position to get in/out in my garage. My garage is a tight fit and with the wide doors, its pretty easy to hit the walls with the doors open.

For now, I have the seat position set all the way back and the seat height turned up, which makes it a little easier to get in/out when parked in the garage.

Anyone else using this features and got some tips?
That's the setting I used for our previous garage with hardly any space on the sides, not all the way back and up, but close. Love it when I push the start button and the seat lowers into the "cockpit" position for this "fighter jet".

I also added some thick (1/8") foam wall protectors that saved my door edges more than once: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071HFTRCH

I use the memory options for getting in and getting out. I am a vertically challenged guy, I am 53 years old with bad knees and stand about 5'6 when my back is acting right.
When I get out I have the seats go backwards and up as high as possible for two reasons.
1. This way, when I get out, I am more elevated, so I am not climbing out of the car..and...pushed back so my feet don't hit the speaker getting out causing scuff marks on the door panel.
2. When I get back in...I don't have as far to lower myself back into the car since the seats were left high when I got out...and my feet don't scuff the door trying to wrestle myself back in.
It's also a nice feeling having the seats lower and scoot my short ass to the gas pedal as the car is revving down.

Even so, you can greatly reduce the wear and tear to seat side bolstering by entering and exiting the car when the seat is in the rearmost position, or close to it. Think of it as an ancillary benefit of setting up a different exit position.

My car is a '16 with 47k miles on it. Don't notice any wear and tear on the seat side bolstering. I use my left are and "push" myself up and out of the seat. I don't really "spin and slide"... If that makes sense.

I hate hearing the seam in my shirt rub up against the side bolster on the top of the seat, so I prefer to have as much room as possible.

One thing I haven't seen from that Corvette video that was posted is the option to move the seat into driving position as soon as the door closes. I wind up having to press the #1 button until I'm in place.

The Camaro does it when you push the start button, not when the door closes. I actually prefer this approach, as it lets me mess around with the phone and whatnot while still providing that fighter jet appeal

What I don't appreciate, by the way, is having to hold the seat memory buttons down to keep the seat moving (when the auto position recall features aren't used)—this isn't so in other gm cars, they move the seat someone must have sued them for pinching their finger between the seat and the console or something...

I have the seat all the way back and I'll either have to stretch to get to the clutch and the brake at the same time, or I'll have to hold down the button. At least that's what I've noticed. I think I tried just pushing the start button thinking it might at least turn on the accessories and pull the seat in close.
