Driver side seat belt base metal - hurts my butt

Am I the only one who think it's bit weird how the seat belt base metal on driver side is sticking out?
I hurt myself (nothing serious but still....) a few times as I was getting in. (Kind of sat on the metal as I was getting in - always on left button cheek)
Driver side and passenger side is also different - passenger side metal base is sitting up little higher.

It's kind of hard to explain, but I'll add a few pictures later.

I have to be little more careful as I get in. Otherwise, left side butt will be bruised soon.

It looks like the position of the belt bracket moves according to seat position.
If the seat iis all the way back it should be straight up along the side bolster of the seat back.
As you move the seat forward, it should start to lower into the recliner cover and bend forward. The belt bracket is mounted to the car not the seat rail so it has to move or tilt back and forward with the seat.
Same with the height adjust, if you have the seat raised, it will be a short bracket

Now I feel very dumb.
Why haven't I thought about lowering the seat.... I just adjusted distance to pedal and never thought about lowering/raising of the seat. (Never thought the seat bottom could've been "raised" before delivery. Lol) Thanks for shining the light into stupid man's dark cave. Mystery solved. Haha....

No wonder I was the only one.

Still though, wouldn't it effect people who do want to keep it at the position you have it at now?

The third setting on the memory seat is to have the seat move to a selected position for exiting the car. I have mine go all the way back and down. This eliminates the problem.

That suggestion worked like a charm!

Now I just need to figure out why the damn memory seat auto recall keeps resetting the seat to a collapsed position and the side mirrors all over the place.
