Please Talk Me Out Of It
I've had my ZL1 for about 10 months now and love it. That said, I am always itching for something new when it comes to women and cars. I could have Kate Upton doing me and my laundry and I'd still be looking for something better. Hahaha (not meant to offend any women).
Anyway, I just saw a leftover new fully loaded 2014 GT500 in Sterling Gray with Gray stripes. It is sick looking. Now I love the all around nature of the ZL1, but I'd love to drive that GT500 for a year. Yes, I will take a beating on trade-in, but cars are my vice and I have the income to support my addiction. Please talk me out of it and reason that I may as well spend another year in my ZL1 and trade up to a Z06 next fall. This was my original plan.

Do it. Then go after a HellCat afterwards. Brand loyalty has never made sense to me. Go with what you like.

I'll take the ZL1 so you don't have to worry about taking a beating on trade-in
Seriously though, if your plan is either Z06 or a GT500, I'd wait for the Z06. If you have money to do both, by all means do what you want. I'd keep the ZL1 though!

Z06 no questions asked... far superior car (minus no back seats)

I'm biased, Z06.
Then take it to a track and race a GT500, finalize the win. |

Do them both if you can afford it. Drive the GT500 until the first model year run of the Z06, then buy the Z06 on the second model year run when some of the bugs are worked out.

Find a new girlfriend that owns a GT500 and keep the ZL1.
