This is my deciding factor. Someone please help.
You can bounce it off the rev limiter all day long, just like a manual ... I wouldn't suggest doing though.

Wow. Thank you!

At last somebody to answer my question!

I was beginning to think people on this forum were more concerned with getting a piece of paper in the mail than talking about the awesome cars they already own.

I think I will be ordering a 2014 auto...but would still like to test both!

LOL half the cars are pointed in opposite directions in the same lane. Funny pic, though

Thanks for the feedback. I want to make sure I do not make a $60K mistake!

Always enjoyed a fast stick but am leaning towards the auto on this one.

This is flat out the best auto I've ever driven. The way it is programed in the "M" mode is just badazz. When you start playing with her, it will rev match on it's own while it downshifts. You don't have to use the paddles to have fun, just let the trans and computer do the work for you and the sound it makes will put a huge grin on your face.

Point of an automatic ZL1?

The point is the same place as on a ZL1 with a manual: at the center of the leading edge of the front fascia/bumper.

I am ordering mine in Automatic. Knees are almost shot due to running and hikes and all the other fun Marine Corps stuff.

Any addition to everything above some people are not comfortable with stick shifts or will be using the ZL1 as a daily driver in a city sitting.
Sorry, but Ford gives way more options throughout than Chevy does. It was a big factor on almost choosing a Cobra over my Camaro. Ended up with the Camaro based on it had better overall performance but the lack of options is such a downer. There is of course the argument that too many options confuses customers and a few companies started backing away from having too many options.

Agree with the M mode on the auto........"You don't have to use the paddles to have fun, just let the trans and computer do the work for you and the sound it makes will put a huge grin on your face".......awesome screaming from the maggie/roaring headers/crossovers makes the day! The auto is more than satisfying........ and a whole lot less wear and tear on the body!

I think he was specifically talking about the GT500 not having the option to choose an auto.
