Traded in my V6 for an SS / RS,,,,! So happy...
Hi guys and gals, I've been a member here for quite some time but rarely post. I've owned two V6 Camaros in the past five years and finally could not take it any longer - I had to have an SS. I am a fan of the 2010 for some reason - both V6's and the SS are 2010. The trade in value on my V6 was low and it was squeaky clean with only 27,000 + miles. I had it for sale here on this site all last week - and zero interest, so I just went to the dealer to get it done. I finally had enough cash to make a deal though - so no car payment either, which was the only way I would do it. Anyway, wow, what a difference! The test drive for this car was the first time I ever drove an SS and I was all smiles. I have not slept in the past three days....lol I have never been so tired and happy in my life..... Anyway, I thought I'd share a photo or two - it is bone stock except for the black painted tail light surrounds. Mod you ask? I will be doing every mod under the sun. I want a supercharger and a stroker motor for starters,,,but finances dictate it will be a while off, so, cosmetics for now.

Congrats! Looks great.. be careful of stroker with stock block.. apparently the piston travels to the lower side creating a rock of the piston as it starts to expose too much piston from the cylinder. Recent thread under engine/bolt on section someone posted a thread with a video to a well know builder talking about this. You may have seen it just food for thought. Keep the mods posted

Thanks guys, and I will check out the stroker video - thanks for the heads up. I've built many in the past, mainly Mopars, but never this engine.

I had a 45th V6. Absolutely beautiful car in every way...except one. Yeah, I did the same in June. Avis ran out of cars to rent and I "had" to take a 2015 2SS RS for three days in Seattle. I came home and stewed on it for one week and went to go get one. Never looked back...

love the color. do a fuse pull after a couple of tanks of 91 or 93 just to make sure its on the reduced power 87 tune.
