buying subs???
I am thinking about getting some better bass for my camaro. i don't know anything about installing subs in my car or installing anything else for that matter. this is my first car (yes i know i'm spoiled blah blah blah...) i am looking at
http://********.com/product_info.php...roducts_id=176 with the http://********.com/product_info.php...roducts_id=133 How hard is it to install subs? Am I going to need to buy anything else? Do i need the Sub thump wire? How long dose it take? Do i need to rewire anything or drill any holes or cut any upholstery? Is this a rip off or is anything else better for the same price or cheaper? Thanks for the help. |

That kit comes with everything you need. All the wiring is included. It's not all that difficult, of course I've done so many that it just comes naturally to me. There are some other threads on where guys have detailed their installs, so you might look for those. I haven't had one first-timer that hasn't been able to do install this. Just remember that I'm right here if you have any questions--not some fly by night guy who disappears after the sale. That should be worth something these days. Please do me a favor and don't refer to any of my products as rip offs because these are all original and were all designed right from my own personal car. I'm certain there are plenty of my customers on here that can vouch for our products and dedication to this site and 5th gen camaros in general. Sure, there's always cheaper stuff, but you won't find a box that can fit a 12" sub or whole 12" kit for that price. The only other 12" stealthbox that I have seen available is the JL box and it retails for more than my whole kit. I think our kit is an excellent value in my opinion and we get a lot of compliments on them from our customers.

oh and btw, if your looking at buying twelves i wouldnt suggest it. the BA speakers arent that good and if your gonna buy some powerful bass it aint gonna sound better or good at all. so dont waste $, at least thats what i was told

haha it's my first car too except i only have a 1lt/rs...... my dad wouldn't trust me with a SS because he saw how i am when i drive out 1973 camaro with a 350 lol. and gas prices.....blah blah blah........ i stuck two 12" kicker cvrs in my camaro, and it was rly easy. if you need any help i can help too. i can vouch for Steve@********. i live indiana, so i went an picked the box up personally. he has rly good quality stuff unless you're looking for blowing your doors off. then you can go spend thousands of dollars at a custom shop. but yes that package is good if youre wanting the stealthy look. i got the box with the Dual 12" and the wiring kit. it is very convenient and priced cheaply.

i payed around $500 for the whole set up and it took me around 3-4 hours to install. i got 2 12" kickers rated at 4 ohms each from crutchfield for $150. a power acoustik amp 1250w/ 250w rms x 2 at 4 ohms for $110 from caraudiodeals.com. and the dual 12" enclosure with the non-ba wiring kit from ******** for $205. and the speaker wire needed which is about $20. yea the box from ******** is made to fit the camaro perfectly. steve designed it to match his camaro. i went to pick the box up personally and saw his camaro and shop since i live in indiana. its sounds nice too. its high quality

12" L7 subs are indeed good and reliable. More for the boomy crowd then the sq one, but they sound good and get stupid loud in the right box and with enough power.
