few inquiries about using both steering wheel buttons and shifter buttons, as previously posted you cannot keep them both activated at the same time but you can add a toggle switch so you can use one or the other. Where as the pistol grip does not yet have this option as does the original shifter here is a simple diagram on how to wire a remote toggle switch. This sketch is with an on/on switch, you can substitute it with an on/off/on switch with the off position disabeling both sets.

Thanks George for stealing my thunder But that's how it's done!

Most Road course/trackers will tell you to keep both hands on the wheel (unless shifting a manual). However, shifting on CFD's shifter is much more comfortable for "cruising" and "playing" with the gears. With the on/off/on switch, you get the best of both worlds.

Sorry, just logged on and this was the first thing I saw. lol

You could give some insight on what switch you used, where you mounted it and where you got it.

OP, if you haven't used your tap shift you are missing out for sure, and once you do use them you will want to order the shifter with the tap shift from George.
Turning the nannies off an shifting the car by tap shift is a truly awesome transformation from just cruising in "D"

Lol if you don't Love it sell your car an buy a Pinto

Geez . . . as much fun as the Pintos used to be to drive, couldn't you at least send him Mustang-shopping?

After spending 4 years with two tap shift Camaros I can honestly say its fun to use them. Even moreso since I put my MRT V2 exhaust on.. I have gotten used to keeping my right hand following the paddle around the steering wheel in curves so I can upshift coming out of the curve when needed.

If you want to be able to change gears without taking your hands off the steering, just like what Ferraris, Lamborghinis and other exotic cars have, you can simply install Paddle Shifter extensions that are a little bigger so you activate the gear you want easily even while make a turn...

Google the following "2010/11 or 2012+ Camaro paddle shifters" and you'll see some available Paddles for our Camaros.
