I tried Esso 93 once in my car which has a JRE tune for 91, and under partial to WOT my car would knock using the 93, it was a full fill from 1/4 to full with 93.

You'll probably get a little better fuel mileage without the 10% ethanol that's in the PetroCan 94. Doubt you'd see a performance difference between the 2...

Best regards,

Elie

how much more is the Esso 93 than regular?
I've noticed a significant jump in premium prices. It started with Shell and their 'nitro' gas at 18c more, then I saw a petrocan yesterday that was 21c a litre more. I'm just hoping Costco sticks to their 12c.. which was only 10c more not too long ago

I always ran Shell 91 but a new Petro Canada close by has Ultra 94. I'm on about my third tank now and my car likes it. Was always happy with Shell but this seems to be a better recipe for my build and tune.

I like the 94 Petro/Sunoco crap but the 10% ethanol sucks.

On a 50L fill 5L is ethanol and you only get 1/2 the BTU's from it so its like pissing 2.5L down the toilet.

I really liked the Shell 93 and so did my TA but it went extinct.

The Esso 93 would be nice but its GTA only right now.

Ive been running Esso 93 in my LS3 since it came out last year in the GTA.

I get better MPG than Petro 94 and the car runs smoother. Now that im cammed I noticed a HUGE drop in MPG when i use Petro 94 (in a pinch when i cant find Esso 93) but when I use Esso 93 my L/100 average went from 14.7 to 14.9 from pre-cam to cam.

I'll stick to the Esso 93.

Not a clue, it could have been a bad batch of fuel that they had, might have to try them again seeing as everyone is seeming to have good luck with the fuel.
