Yes, it is a non-pressure system and if you look in the mid section of the picture, you see the two breather ports where evaporation occurs. We are so use to having a closed system that we tend to overlook it.

Did not know that this system worked that way, I appreciate the information! Btw, would this Prestone be acceptable?

Update: Topped the system off with the Prestone

Yeah, that's fine. I use it when GM (ACDelco) is not available.

I would've preferred to go with the pink but even the AC Delco says that it's orange. All so confusing. Is it just a different dye or is the formula actually different?

I was never able to get the pink stuff GM uses in the factory, even the bottles that were advertised online as pink turned out to be orange when mixed with distilled water.

Orange is fine with me as long as the coolant has the dexcool label. Honestly, neither color looks great in the engine bay, and I care more about cooling capability and no corrosion anyway.

I'm with you arpad_m. Cooling capability trumps the color, but my OCD would also prefer to have the pink

I installed a Viofo A229 Pro and the hardwire kit in the ZL1.

That top clip didn't come out of the A Pillar hole, and actually took some of the plastic from the pillar cover with it. And for reasons I never figured out the bottom end has an extra mm or two gap now than before. I think. We all know the interior trim alignment was never perfect to begin with on these cars, and honestly I doubt anyone will know the gap is different besides me, but ARGH it's infuriating. Watching the videos of "look it just pulls off with a little force". Nope, I was even using a trim removal tool within an inch of the clip and it still did it.

Yesterday I installed Z26 pads on it. I knew there was a big difference because I did them on the SS years ago but the dust difference with the ZL1 brakes is RIDICULOUS.

Went to the dark side last weekend at the international auto show.

Wasn’t a performance pack but Ford definitely copied GM. The aluminum suspension, the solid door thunk, the texture on the rear diffuser feels just like the refresh grille on the 6th Gen SS. Interior looks and feels much better in person. Seats on the 300A package was scratchy and cheap compared to the 301A.

Will say the quality is MUCH better than our s550.

Had the wheels off to trim rear shield for the BW duct and decided to white out the lettering, why not? It was right up my OCD alley. Just wanted to see the contrast, let’s see how long it will last.

Looks great. I've always liked white lettered tires. Fits your car perfectly.
