There is no "current" ZR1. Went out of production with the C6.

I interpreted his comment to mean GM wouldn't give the new Z06 more HP than the "current" ZR1. That shouldn't be a limitation as it is no longer in production. So no, I apparently don't know what he meant.

There doesn't have to be a C7 ZR1 if the Z06 is coming out the gate with 650 ponies.

I agree! I can't wait to see this Z06…hope there's a way to retrofit the current base +Z51 with it. A ZR1 would be CRAZY though. Probably over 800HP and $130,000ish.

If they don't build a ZR1 because they built a supercharged Z06, then they never should have built a supercharged Z06.
