75k these days is not aweful for a truck. I would go by dealers, especially, pre covid, and i saw a bunch of limited, high country type models in the upper 60s to near 80k.
Obvioisly not for the masses yet, but those models are coming.

If I can't get one for $60k or less I'm out. 60 is still pretty awful for me to spend on a vehicle. My house was barely twice that.

I had an '04 Avalanche. Loved it up until it got totaled...lol. I always understood my Avalanche was basically a Suburban platform, not a truck platform. Whatever...lol
Anyway this EV Silverado is definitely more Avalanche than pick-up truck. I think Ford will benefit more from sticking to a truck body-style with their EV truck. Chevy had a winner with the Silverado. This EV one might do ok, but it's an Avalanche, not a Silverado truck. Just another name botch like Blazer...lol.. |

Wide Open Watts (WOW) mode instead of Hummer’s WTF mode. 10,000 lbs towing, 1,300 lbs payload. SuperCruise, advanced trailer features, plus ability to charge tools and/or other vehicles and job site management.

Looks great! Had a 1st Gen and a 2nd Avalanche and now a Cad Escalade EXT. This looks exactly what a 3rd Gen Avalanche would look like and very interested in it. Biggest issues I have are availability and workforce. I will be in the market way before any vehicles GM actually offers anything of interest and I try not to support companies and workforce’s that support and contribute to a party I disagree with. Why did I have to be a GM/Chevyguy!!!!!?????

Honestly in my eyes (excluding a 2500 series pickup), an Avalanche/EXT is far more versatile to a 1500 pickup. The factory lockable bed cover, lockable bed Storage on each side. I even had a plow mounted on my 2gen Avalanche which is basically built off a 1500 series chassis. Just my opinion.

I loved my '04 Avalanche. It was a fun vehicle for camping and trips when my kid was young. If Chevy thinks an Avalanche type truck will be as popular as regular trucks, good luck, but I doubt it. |
