Lowering Springs hurt performance?

Im trying to get some information regarding lowering springs for me 13 SS. Do lowering springs hurt performance? Obviously the lower ride height is nice, but will it affect performance?

I've heard it can affect ride quality, but the people who have it seem to love it. Never heard anything about performance.

I had them originally and loved the raked look of the car but did not realize what a terrible ride it was until I went to coil overs.

Performance will be a little better because you lowered your center of gravity. The real add to performance is with sway bars.

Sway bars are best. The handling being hurt may come from the fact you can stiffen them only so much or the shocks cant handle the load, not to mention you reduce the shock travel.. If shocks cant do the job, thats part of your cars handling responses. Does it hurt, I dont know, only tell on a track

Ride quality will change but performance will definitely not be degraded. Like AC mentioned, lowering springs will lower the center of gravity of the car which has many performance benefits. Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions.

What exactly do you mean by performance? Power delivery? Handling? General Characteristics? Any or all of the above?
