Happened to me too. Then, I heard about the tech bulletin regarding the 2010my to 2013my on board Poltergeist that's installed in every vehicle. In addition to random trunk openings he does shit like not letting you shift from 1st to 2nd at low speeds. I can't remember the bulletin number but just call your local service manager and ask about the Poltergeist issue.

That is in fact a design feature called 'skip shift' that allows the LS3 to beat the gas guzzler tax. It's not a mistake or bug, it's a documented, intentional feature.

Actually that isn't the case. The first press is only held in memory for 4 seconds. If you press the fob button (or interior button) and wait more than four seconds to press it a second time, it won't open. You have to press it twice within four seconds to open the trunk.
