Antenna Question - WOT NO SHARK FIN??
After finalising my order for the 2SS/RS package I took home the papers to double check everything.
I have (not that I want it), XM, Onstar... BUT it says that my antenna is, and i quote verbatim "Rear backglass antenna". Does that mean the shark fin has been changed to "rear backglass" here in Canada? Wow that would be nice. Please let me know if Im prematurely happy!!

Phew!! Almost thought they took the shark fin off!
There are many people at the forum that love that fin, don't remove it!

[QUOTE=99b4c;183982]I dont want the fin because I wont have the service, an antenna on the roof of the Camaro that has no job, it's just a wasted piece of equipment.

If, God forbid, anyone ever has an accident, say late at night, on winter roads, with nobody around, you'll be lovin' that fin as it calls for an ambulance for your unconscious self and/or family. OnStar - priceless.
I had a good friend who died that way, no OnStar. |

The fin stays on the roof behind the sunroof. I know Onstar is extra help when you really need it, but I really dont want to pay a monthly service fee for a car that may see 5,000 miles a year.

The shark fin looks ridiculous but I guess I'll have to deal with it. They'll probably integrate in the mirrors or glass in the future just like they did starting in 2006 with the C6's. The 2005 C6 looks ridiculous also.
