Despite having more features than the current car, that price on the 1SS is a lot higher than I expected. A mustang GT Premium is $37,200 with no options,

Given they're only offering the V6 & V8's at launch, perhaps it would be wise to clue us in on the cost of the V6 "option" given the Turbo 4 is the base engine with later availability.

I'm happy with the pricing, I personally wanted the 2SS prices to be released as well so I could work out payments and be sure it was the right choice for me. However with the pricing of a 1SS being 37,XXX that makes me think the 2SS will be lower than I had thought myself. So I'm very happy with the prices for what you are getting.

As far as people considering mustangs because the price difference. I truly think you will regret it down the road. We are talking am extra 40 dollars a month. Which seems like a lot but in reality, go out to dinner 1 less time a month and you'll be in a camaro instead of a mustang!

I think the price is high too, but if you want the newest/best, you have to pay for it. The camaro and mustang are really starting to creep out of the realm of attainable for the average Joe. This makes me sad. The camaro used to be known for being the poor mans Corvette. Now it is really getting harder for guys like me that make a decent wage to get a sweet V8 sports car without having to forego entertainment.
I agree with everything you are saying. Was just pointing out that with pricing similar to the stang there was no question in my mind Camaro was what I wanted, but the price increase has let doubt creep into my mind. (Head vs heart)

Looking at what is included in the 1SS it seems like a good deal especially since RS is included as well as the destination fee.

With all the new tech included Apple Play, lighter, push start magnetic suspension. I think it is a good value. Only thing is the first in line are not going to be able to get much better than MSRP. I will see how I am in come 2017 when my lease is up and the 50yr is out.

Definitely going to be interesting where the 2SS comes in at. With the RS already included in the 1SS and the other base items. Really the only thing the 2SS could add is what leather and HUD?

And I guess Magnetic Ride Control suspension, a power sunroof, in-dash navigation, dual-mode exhaust system and an eight-speed automatic transmission. will be options that would definitely push it way up there.

Edit : Scratch that the 2SS does add a couple other goodies. The traffic sensors, the Bose Stereo (Thought that would be from the RS like it is now.. I think), and the lighting package along with wireless charging

I think the Mustang PP at the moment is a killer deal especially with 0 percent financing, however, I think it's better to pay a little more for what you truly want. I wanted a 2SS anyway and I think it should be within 2k of a GT PP premium which is what I'd get if I opted for a Mustang. I do think the Camaro has better major components and obviously has some extras that I do value. Many people will look base to base and see that 4k difference though.

I'm sorry GM inconveniences you by building cars for the rest of the country.

I guess I'll get over the sticker shock, unless the 2SS is just way off in left field. All I can say is this Camaro better spank the pants off the GT for that much more money. I'm talking 1SS to base GT comparisons. The gen 6 looks incredible on paper. We'll soon see. I still predict the Gen 6 doesn't win the sales game.

Cooled actually cools the air that it pures through the seat while ventilated just uses the cabin air. That is my understanding.

The rest of the country gets hot too. I would love some cooled seats in the Summer.

Its about $1700-$2000 difference in the ATS and CTS.
