A month or two ago, some guy wanted Hyper Blue to be more expensive & therefore more exclusive. At least thats what I think he was saying, he wasn't exactly clear in what he was talking about

I mean people seem to be surprised that with all of the new and awesome stuff that has been implemented that they need to pay more for it. If you want a cheaper car with less to offer there are options for you.

We are not surprised with the pricing, in fact it is a very reasonable increase for a new generation. What we are surprised and disappointed about this that gm said we are going to be very pleased with the pricing. Very pleased with the pricing would be half of what the current increase is. The current increase is expect not something to be pleased about.

Hmm. A little more than I wanted it to be. I was looking forward to replacing my base model '13. Now, I may just hold on two more years and finish paying it off.

The 1LT won't be out until the first quarter of next year so this price might be for the 1LT with V-6 engine....

I think it is fairly priced. They're bringing out an entirely new vehicle. We're getting new technology, some of the standard equipment was previously unavailable or options. LT models are coming in at $300 less than the current model. 1SS has a bit of a price bump, but it includes alot of great standard equipment including a bit more power under the hood with active fuel management. I know I am going with the 2LT, but I wonder how big of a price difference will there be with the Turbo 4 and the V6.

...Everybody was "Screaming" for more creature comforts, techy gizmos, interior quality and upgrades, etc....Did you think it would be free and not cost anything?..You bet the 2SS will be a lot more expensive. After all, how can you live without a heated steering wheel?....or a must have light-show on the door panels?....etc...

Everyone got what they asked for, and it comes at a price....

The 1SS car is faster then the old 1SS 1LE Camaro and yet is cheaper then a 2015 1SS 1LE car....

So really if you were interesting in a 2015 1LE Camaro then the 2016 car would be a cheaper choice, however if you were not interested in the 1LE feature then you might not like it.

For nearly 38K, the SS should have come with larger, 6 piston front brakes.

This thing better come in well under 3750 lbs.

Frankly I can't say I'm surprised by the pricing. I have been following this car and the Challenger pretty closely, and I wasn't sure how they would make all of this stuff standard without having a much higher price than the Mustang.

I'm fairly confident that a 2SS with A8, NPP and MRC will be around $45-47k, including destination. The SRT Challenger comparably equipped is $48k, since it comes standard with active suspension and exhaust, as well as 6 piston brembos.

A very comparable pricing guide has been available all along, its just not the numbers people wanted to see.

Exactly. Remember how many threads were started on Camaro5 complaining they wanted all the tech of the 2SS but without the leather. You are getting a lot of stuff on the 6th Gen 1LT and 1SS.

GM will put 0% on the 6th gen next year too. This is obvious. If you want something that is last years model, 0% all across the board is avalible. Ford didn't come out of the gates with 0%.

I think the price is high too, but if you want the newest/best, you have to pay for it. The camaro and mustang are really starting to creep out of the realm of attainable for the average Joe. This makes me sad. The camaro used to be known for being the poor mans Corvette. Now it is really getting harder for guys like me that make a decent wage to get a sweet V8 sports car without having to forego entertainment.
