Update for anyone who cares...I ended up going on Chevy chat and gave them the VIN and everything. They also said I don't have a trunk light. So I asked if there is a specific package where this is included. She said to hold on, came back a few minutes later, asked if I could wait longer and ended up calling my dealer. It was probably a 30 minute process. She gave me a case number and said to take it back to the dealer. I thanked her but said I wasn't probably going to do that just to be told the same thing.

About 15 minutes later the service guy called me and said GM had contacted him and he checked all of the 2017's on the lot and they all have trunk lights. He told me to bring it back in at some point and they'd look into it more for me. He was surprised when I said I don't even see any wiring for it. I may end up doing that at some point.

All in all I'm pretty happy with the response from Chevy and the dealer over something minor. I didn't want it to become such a big deal but I was baffled about it. Perhaps in the end it was just an oversight in the factory.

Good to see you guys are keeping the 6/6/16 thread alive. For what it's worth, mine (a 1SS) has the trunk light.

Glad to see an "old" face in here. Yeah it sounds like mine just got skipped somehow. No big deal, I'll probably take it back to them at some point, but if not I may just figure out something aftermarket or just leave it dark altogether. I've used my cell phone flashlight once or twice but I don't use the trunk much in general.

I have been slammed with business travel this year. Southwest Airlines and I know each other very well, but more so this year.

I got a road trip in. Top down from Cedar City Utah past Flagstaff, AZ. What a great and scenic drive.

Passed or met some Mustang verts. None had their top down. Hmmmm.
