Anyone know what they're talking about?

The wife's top is fully automatic, err, and so is her car's.

How much you want to bet that they are confusing the Camaro top release with the Mustang?

The Mustang has a lever you have to pull and turn at the same time you push a button if I'm not mistaken. That is certainly not as easy as the Camaro.

The convertible top latch issue was in past years CR on the 2015 Gen5 car. This years reported problems were in car electronics minor transmission issues and drive system problems. They were apparently significant enough to land Gen6 on the 10 worst list!

They love Camaro so much, Chevrolet features Consumer Reports on the Chevrolet website:

They're probably getting wind of the A8 torque converter failure rate.
I actually used this info as a tool in my decision making to buy a Gen6. Unfortunately, it appears things have changed!

GM has made large strides with initial quality in recent years. Sadly in my opinion they seem to have lost their way with Gen6....My 2017 Mexican built Cruze premier hatchback seems to be better put together!

It's actual Camaro owners giving CR data on their ownership experience. For the most part it seems the main reason they don't recommend cars is in car electronics/tech but I agree with them after being on this forum that some Gen6 Camaros have all the issues that caused them to no longer recommend the car and apparently in large enough numbers to put the Camaro on their 10 worst list.

Yeah if you go to CR's website the ratings on the Camaro are now much lower than what Chevy has up on their main site. In fairness I it says "predicted reliability" on Chevy's document... But sooner or later the class action lawyers are gonna start coming out of the woodwork.

Funny thing is JD Power has it listed on their site as a 2017 dependability award winner ahead of the Mustang and Challenger.

http://www.jdpower.com/cars/study/20...porty-Car/1103

The new Chevrolet commercial mentions this and shows a blue SS too.

CR:
The Chevy doc is accurate. CR has changed their reliability rating.

It looks like it.

A8 issues are now being documented.

I'll add my 2 cents. I'm not brand loyal at all and this is the first brand new car I've ever owned. Based on my experience with the transmission and the rear differential, I completely agree that this car belongs on the bottom of the list. I was very excited about buying a new car and not having to worry about any issues, it was new and has a warranty, right? Wrong! I have had to fight with the dealer to get them to do their damn job. When I gave them details and examples they just blew me off. I have been working on cars for 30 years, I know what I'm talking about.

You guys bashing CR for their report need to open your eyes. The TSB for our transmission runs across many Gm vehicles. This is going to be a long term reliability issue. It's unacceptable and I am very much looking forward to dumping this car.
