Mines worse than any vehicle I have had XM in but its not horrible. Looses signal under the smallest of trees sometimes - wifes Grand Cherokee and the rentals I drive never do that.

Mine's not great (non-vert). I lose it driving on the freeway in certain places, so must be some type of interference.

I don't use it much myself tho, 'cause I don't really like XM/Sirius personally. So no big deal to me. Wish it had HD radio vs satellite, and lose the butt-ugly shark fin...

I think the car needs to go in.

OP, let me know if your dealer diagnoses an issue.
Will do. I live in Florida as well. Wonder if it has to do with where we live? Different angle to the sat? I put a XM radio /Nav system in my 2004 Corvette and mounted the antenna in the dash and had no issues with reception in the same areas I am having problems now.

I’ve not driven a coupe so no direct comparison, but my XM seems as consistent as my other cars

I noticed the 2018 verts now have a shark fin on the trunk just like the coupes have on top of the roof.

In 2016-2017 on the verts, the satellite antenna was mounted inside of the spoiler mounted on the trunk.

My guess is they changed the setup for a reason.

I'm in a coupe and rarely lose a signal unless I'm under an overpass.

My 16 vert has a shark fin - I was under the impression it was the xm antenna. Is it not?

The 2017 convertible also has the shark fin on the trunk. At least mine does.

The am/fm antenna is in the spoiler on the 2017 vert. The shark fin houses the XM antenna.
I am getting ready to change my spoiler and cannot find anyone who has relocated the antenna.

What about non-owers? You know, the people who paid out right for the car and don't owe on it?

Update: Well sort of: Over the past couple days I called SIRUSXM and had them reset the signal a couple times to no avail. Took it in this morning to the dealership and they said everything checked out normal. They checked the antenna connection and signal strength. I told them it was not normal since my other car doesn't lose the signal. I then stopped at a electronics installation shop and told them about the issue. They suggested the dealership hook up a new antenna to see if that fixes the issue. If that doesn't work to insist on a new tuner. I have to go back for a recall part (convertible top may stop operation) and at that time I will press the issue further.
