Herb Leitz Norwood Plant Reunion Scottsdale AZ

1967 Camaro Pilot N100001 will be on display along with Scottsdale Resident Herb Leitz the Plant Manager of Chevrolet Norwood Final Assembly. Herb will be there to say "Hi" and talk about the Norwood plant and its operations during the period of his employment there. Herb was employed at Norwood from 1950-1953 as a maintenance supervisor, again as deputy plant Manager from 1967 through mid 1969 and finally as full plant manager from 1969-mid 1971.

The Herb Leitz "reunion" will be hosted at the Barrett-Jackson Collection showroom http://www.barrettjacksoncollections...m/company.html in Scottsdale AZ. Craig and Carolyn Jackson graciously offered to host the event due to Mr. Leitz's existing medical condition which now precludes long distance event travel.

The event: Mr. Leitz will be there most of the day to meet and greet Camaro and Firebird owners and all GM car enthusiasts as well. Bring your car and a sharpie marker if you have a Norwood built car - Herb will be happy to sign and autograph or your trunk lid if you want him to.

There will also be a limited number of free high quality reproductions of the Team #1 Norwood employee newspaper front page from 1970 that Herb will also autograph for you be there early to get a copy.

Several artifacts will be on display including the ultra cool "Norwood production gang Wire Tree" which was a gift to Herb While at Norwood.

As a Bonus Herb's son Steve Leitz will be there with his dad to meet and greet and talk about life on the "long line" while assembling the 1968's-yes Steve Leitz worked at Norwood also down on the "long line" on the Chassis side at Chevrolet.

The Barrett-Jackson Collection showroom will be open for viewing during this event.
