Yours is probably a different story, but most of the people in my life would look at me confused if I started throwing 1/4 mile times at them. 500 sounds impressive to non-gearheads and it IS impressive to actual gearheads that know what it takes to get this motor there.
Thanks, man, I do appreciate you help and the thump.

We're all gearheads. We love go-fast stuff. We love the smell of a good burn-out and the sting of soot in our eyes and that taste of silver we get in our mouths at the Christmas tree. Always trying to get better, shaving a second (that takes work) and getting happy if we managed to shave a tenth.

Indeed. For the record... I intend on adding all that power not only for the fun factor, but because I enjoy the process. All of the research that goes in, everything you learn in the process, and just being generally knowledgeable about as much as possible. Life is a hell of a lot easier on a person that understands what is going on around them... cheaper too!

haha well I know I'm not alone.
I do have an issue coming off HARSH in type.
but usually once someone meets me they figure it out that it just comes across badly in type.

lobe profile is 230/242, right? Your rwhp numbers are always a tad high...even when compared with other dyno jets.... just saying. I'm not saying it isn't a good cam....most people like higher LSA numbers even GM, with blower cams. You can make decent power with your cam and a blower....there's better choices going forced induction.

Ok well you go with what you like and I'll go with NF and Shawn/Nick building/tuning mine and since you are local we can prove the NF isn't a joke even boosted but that will have to wait at least 6 months as suspension and hooking up comes next for mine.

I don't think I have ever seen your car out and about so I do not know the state of mod it is in now.. but if you are H/C/E as well we can find out soon enough if the LA dyno lies as mine will be done in 2 weeks.

Jaime will have his done FI well before me also with an NF tuned by Matt with FSP at Phastek so that is a 3rd party dyno we will see how the numbers add up.

What?

Better choices for you?
What makes cams better for FI and please include some valve events while your at it, according to you?
Please discuss.

He didn't say it wouldn't make good power. Theoretically speaking... he has a good point. I can't say one way or another if Lethal's dyno numbers are too high. Like Black10 said, that's kinda tough to determine without knowing lobe profile, durations, and lift numbers. Generally you don't want so much overlap in FI applications though. Too much overlap leads to boost leak. That is why davidcroft says there are probably better choices out there for FI applications.

I agree but high dyno or not you cannot deny the drag times ALL of their NF cars are cutting especially the blown ones.

Yeah. You're not gonna catch me knocking their dyno sheets. I could care less what the actual peak numbers are. I like their curves.

As a general rule I could care less about "advice" given from someone who doesn't have a clue about cars and writes a blank check to someone to build a car for them. Half the time they can't even say what was done to their car let alone the why. They also don't know enough to repeat advice given to them by the builder accurately. Half the time it's taken out of context or jumbled in their non-automotive minds.

Opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one and many people are one.

You see it all the time!
They fork over the $$$ needed for the shop to make lets say 800hp then all of a sudden they are professionals at what they are talking about!

That is definitely a good approach to take with all advice... not just car advise. It is, however, possible that the person can't do the work themselves because of injury or... old age , doesn't have time, etc. I draw the line at tuning myself. I'm sure those endowed with the knowledge required to tune the car think the same thing about me! There's always a bigger, better fish out there.

In short, just because they didn't build it themselves doesn't mean they haven't built a thousand cars in their lifetime. You never know.
