...in your case, it sounds like your car didn't come crashing to a stop in 0.1 seconds but over a much larger time interval resulting a low peak force exerted on you. Great thing you were wearing a seatbelt because its purpose is also the lengthen the time interval to reduce peak force. Glad you walked away from this one.

All very true, and a very good point.

Though the impulse force I’m keenly aware of at the moment is the impulse to pull $15k out of the bank and go find a ZL1 that checks all of the boxes for me before the insurance company writes a check and we close the books on my car.
